Hello. I was granted an extension of stay on my non o visa at Jomtiem in December, no dramas. Looking at my paperwork today, I noticed a comment from the IO that I should return on the 3 month anniversary date and show my bank passbook, to evidence that 800000 is still in my account. I haven't done this before, is it something I should do or not worry about doing? Thanks

Has anyone successfully changed the way they qualify for a retirement extension, from the money in the bank to monthly income, at the Jomtien office? And before anyone asks, yes I have maintained the proper amount in the bank for a year, as well as transferred in the 65,000 each month for a year.

I want to apply for 30 day extension to my visa exemption (60 days).

I'll visit Jomtien immigration office. Apart from my passport and 1900 baht what else is needed?

Can I go a week or two after arrival in Thailand to be sure about extension for planning flight out at later date?

Hi, I have a type o non immigrant visa which I obtained from jomtien immigration office, my first year I never done any 90 day reporting as I had left Thailand a few times before the 90 days were up,

I have recently renewed my extension of stay for another year and done my first 90 day reporting at the same time ( again in jomtien).

Question is, can I do my 90 day reporting in Bangkok either in person or online, or do I need to do it in jomtien, and if so what documents are required, I have a rental contract and thai bank account.

Thanks for any information.

Good afternoon forum,

My first renewal of retirement extension is coming up in late August and it's my intention to apply for extension when I am down to the last 30 days (next week).

Having visited the Chonburi Immigration Office in Jomtien I have a list of the requirements but I have one question which I'm hoping the forum can answer that requires specific knowledge of the procedure at Jomtien -

Must I provide a map of my condo rental address? This is not mentioned in the list of requirements.

Thanks all for your help.

I have a few questions regarding getting a medical-based visa extension.

I have studied on studied on the internet, but I can't seem to extract definitive information as it pertains to my situation. I would appreciate any thoughts you have to offer.

I am currently here on a 6 month METV. The 6 months period and my current visa stamp is due to expire on May 19th.

It is my understanding that I can leave and return on a border bounce not long before May 19th and get another 60 day stamp even though the METV 6 month time-frame will have expired. That is true, correct?

That is all well and good, except I am due to get a double-knee replacement in Bangkok on April 21st. I have my doubts I would physically be up to doing a a border bounce only about 3.5 weeks after the surgeries. Especially since they are doing both knees at once.

I can get a letter from the hospital stating my medical treatment and a prescribed time after surgeries for recuperation and physical therapy. I would estimate that they would say 60 or 90 days after the surgeries. That would work for me.

My question is how exactly do I go about getting a medical visa extension? Just go to immigration with that letter and hope they grant me that extension from the date of the surgeries?

Another question is I would hope to be able to do it before the surgeries since I will not feel like traipsing around to immigration offices for quite some time after the surgeries.

One more question. Can I try to obtain the medical extension at the Jomtien immigration office, or do I have to do it in Bangkok since that is where the hospital is and where I will stay during recuperation.

THANKS A BUNCH!!

Extending 60-day Tourist eVisa in Pattaya?

Is there a local official Thai Immigration office that will issue a 30-day extension to a valid 60-day eVisa with an in-person appointment around Pattaya?

Google searches yield confusing .com and .net sites and th govt sites only mention "district" offices.

Thanks

My 90 day on line rejected for first time this week. I have been successfully submitting my 90 day report on line for many years. I had to visit JOMTIEN imm office to do manually and ask why it was rejected this time. Answer was that their newly updated system incorrectly uses passport number in use at date of last entry into Thailand. I obtained my new passport many years ago and have never left the country since 2009. Immigration had transferred all my data from old passport to new passport in 2010. Their new system rejected my application this time because my passport number was not the same. The officer explained that she used to handle the on line applications herself, but now it is done by their upgraded computer system. She apologized and did provide me with the new 90 day report without asking for any documentation. I asked if the same thing will happen next time I submit my on line 90 day application. Her response was that she did not know. Be aware now if you have changed your passport number since last entering Thailand when you attempt to do your next on line 90 day report.
