How can I avoid paying 220bhat ATM fees and 20k withdrawals limit, as a language Ed-visa holder? That’s such a pain in the ass.
Is there any local app that verifies me with my type of visa so i can transfer everything there from my visa card to avoid charges? Or i donno, any other workaround?
EDIT: Please Stop telling me open a bank account. I WAS NOT ABLE even after asking my school agent, yes that's quite stupid that they don't allow a non-tourist person like me open an account in Thailand.
I'm thinking about applying for ED-VISA via E-Visa website by choosing the Thai Embassy in Penang Malaysia. Does anybody applied from there? Is it quick service or take too long?
How do you schedule or book an online appointment for a ED-Visa in Kuala Lumpur? I'm planning on moving by next month on February and i have everything ready but i heard that i have to book an appointment 2 weeks before going🙇♀️
Looking for some advice or anyone with a similar experience.
I am holding a Singapore passport and have been in Thailand on an ED-Visa for the past year. As it will expire by this weekend, I have already cancelled it and left for Laos via land (chiang khong) today. My plan is to stay for 3 days and return to Thailand by land on Sunday.
Btw, I will be starting my thai language studies at chula in Jan 2025. Would this info be useful for the immigration to allow my re-entry? Chula has asked me to email them a copy of my entry stamp and they will prepare the paperwork for me to take to the immigration office to change my visa-exempt stamp to an ED-Visa stamp.
Will I face any issues when I pass through the Thai immigration? Will they have any extra requirements for me before I can re-enter? Eg. Cash, flight tickets...
Applying for Ed-Visa. If I am living in a town different than where the school is located( in the same province but 2.5 hours land travel distance) is that gonna be fine if my TM30 holds address of this place?
I am have a 1-year ed-visa in Chiang Mai but I am currently residing in Bangkok as I can study remotely online. I have an TM-30 in Bangkok. I entered Bangkok Airport 95 days ago and now realise I need to my 90-day report. As my ed-visa is in Chiang Mai, will I encounter any issues if I go to Bangkok immigration office for my 90-day report?
Hey, just wanna hear same experiences with our situation. Parents on Ed-visa. 2 toddlers overstayed. We are planning to fly out to KL after our ed visa expires and come back after 1 week here in TH. Toddlers overstay for 1 year. What are the circumstances that we might encounter at Immigration? I’ve read that toddlers are not banned and fined. Does anyone already experience this? i’d love to hear your thoughts 🙏 thank you
When applying for an ED-Visa for International University in Thailand, I am asked to list the duration of study period, given the option of a start and end date. Should I make the end date for when the degree is finished (4 years later) or the end of the first year of study?
I don't understand if this Visa must be re-applied for again at the end of each school year or if one visa can be renewed for 4 years consecutively.
Ed-Visa question : I'm on third yearly extension of stay studying a Bachelors degree. My extension of stay is valid until dec17 and the official end of my last term will be dec7. BUT I'll be done with all courses and really everything for my degree by the end of august. University never had a foreign student before doing an entire degree with them (only some exchange students from china and Cambodia) and zey don't seem to know anything about having to call in with immigration and cancel my extension of stay. They said I can stay until the end of my current stamp. What do you think, if I don't have any more proof of actually studying from August onwards, but technically still am a student until dec7, what should I actually be doing about it. Any thoughts? Thanks y'all, you're always great!
I'm currently on an ED-Visa and planning to change to a Non-O Visa when my ED-Visa expires in 2 months time. Is there any difference if I leave Thailand when my ED expires and return as a visa-exempt tourist THEN apply for the Non-O, or if I apply for the Non-O while I am still here before my ED expires? Anyone has any experience in this matter? TIA.
