I am holding a Singapore passport and have been in Thailand on an ED-Visa for the past year. As it will expire by this weekend, I have already cancelled it and left for Laos via land (chiang khong) today. My plan is to stay for 3 days and return to Thailand by land on Sunday.
Btw, I will be starting my thai language studies at chula in Jan 2025. Would this info be useful for the immigration to allow my re-entry? Chula has asked me to email them a copy of my entry stamp and they will prepare the paperwork for me to take to the immigration office to change my visa-exempt stamp to an ED-Visa stamp.
Will I face any issues when I pass through the Thai immigration? Will they have any extra requirements for me before I can re-enter? Eg. Cash, flight tickets...
I recently graduated from Chulalongkorn University and want to apply for the Non-Ed Plus Visa. Can anyone share the process for getting a 1-year extension and the documents required?
Hi guys, I will be very happy if you help me!I have been accepted for an exchange program at Chula University. I have not yet received the necessary letter to obtain a Non-immigrant visa. I have purchased a ticket which we are worried about burning as it takes 21 working days to process the visa. Do you know if I can enter Thailand on a tourist visa and then renew it with a Non-immigrant?
Hi all. As a mature Student (46). Can anyone help with ideas of what can be studied in Thailand and any websites catering for this. Uk native speaker. Thanks in advance.
Planning to live in Thailand for a whole year on a ED visa, starting from August - September. As I’m not an english native speaker, I would like to enroll in English classes.
During my language stay in Canada, I chose the language center of the University of Vancouver instead of the usual language centers because the courses seemed to be of better quality. Does anyone know if this alternative exists in Thailand?
Otherwise, any particular school to recommend? I’m looking for a light program, preferably 2x4h/week.
I talked with sandee thai language school and they said the Ministry of education recently restarted reissuing visa letters, in which they ultimately stated consult the embassy which i cannot for the life of me can get ahold of email or phone-wise. What i understood is you could still get a ed-visa prior/during the pandemic by being accepted to a university course. I have confirmation that the thai embassy is currently issuing ed-visas for the stamford university english program 3 month course. I’m looking at two thai language courses below.
[members only]/ ->not sure if this is a legitimate school

My question is has anybody successfully gotten an ed-visa with the chulalongkorn univ ctfl class or sandee school in the past few months during the pandemic? Or has anybody gotten any ed-visa from any school where they have successful been issued an ed-visa to enter thailand currently?
I have a non-immigrant ED multiple entry Visa because I am studying at Chulalongkorn for one Semester. My 90 days are running out though so I have to extend it. I know that I can simply leave the country and come back to get another 90 days for free just like many of my fellow students did. I am on a tight Budget though so I would like to go to Immigration instead. Will I have to pay something at Immigration to receive another 90 days?
