Hi All, My 60days on entry will expire in March and I’m planning to go to both Krabi-Koh Lanta & islands there, and up to Ranong after… Can you advise if better to:

Option 1:

Cross into Malaysia for few days from Koh Lipe to Langkawi or other suggestion to get another 60days on the return trip back. In this case how long do I need to

stay on langkawi before entering back or is a day trip sufficient?

Likely it’s more costly option for the travel but I would get 60 days and no visa paperwork or cost.. right?

Option 2:

Renew my visa in immigration office in Ranong (before visiting Koh Chang) and pay for the 30 day extension? I’d have to go few days early to avoid the weekend when it’s closed and stay in hire there to get the Tm30 form.

… maybe there’s other good options you suggest too? Be really glad for advice based on your experience 🙏🙏

So I got my DTV Visa in December 2024.

Which one is better to do at the 180-day mark?

Extend it for another 180 days or leave the country and come back?

What are the pros and cons of both?

Hi, hope all is well. Looking for some advice please. Came into Thailand on a three month non immigrant o visa based on marriage. Which expires 02nd January 2024. I already have a flight booked from Bangkok to UK but on 1st February, as I thought immigration at ROI ET would let me extend 30 days. However, they say go to Laos and exit Thailand then come back in on a 30 day visa. But what actually are my options please? Then I am clear what I need to do to? Thanks very much

Hi to all, i have used this site 3-4 times in the last yr and wonderful admin and others helping with advice- my O-A visa expires April 17, and i don't think i have enough money to renew it, but a friend thought i could just go across any border, get 45 days, then go to Immigration and get a 90 day added on, then decide what to do. if that is true i will do that, any other options for me, please advise. Thanks in advance, appreciate it.

last year i got a non-O-A (retirement) visa which says valid until 14-sep-2022. i entered the kingdom on 16-oct-2021 and was stamped until 15-oct-2022 (top stamp). last week i visited cambodia and upon return was stamped until 30-sep-2022 (bottom stamp).

two questions:

1. which of these three is my "legally allowed to remain in the kingdom until" date?

2. i will likely be leaving the kingdom permanently sometime in december. given the relatively short duration beyond the date in #1, do i have any other options beyond the 800k baht in a local bank account to renew my non-O-A?

thanks to the group for assistance

I am currently on a non-oa visa that expires mid september but I am stamped in until October 2nd 2022

My insurance runs from october 2nd 2021- October 2nd 2022

I want to do a trip overseas to get another year out of this visa (with the re-entry stamp)

If i did a trip say in July when I came back a few days later would they give me a year or would they only give until my insuarnce expires in October?

I cant get more insurance yet as the policies I have seen say you can only buy them 30 days in advance and I am being quoted nearly 40k for insuarnce so i dont want to buy it before my existing policy expires in October. insurance last year was only 28K but they refuse to renew that even though i havent claimed. I am going back to the UK in august so I cant do a bounce just before the visa expires unfortunetly.

thanks
