Hi everyone, advice please..My retirement visa expires mid February..I don't want to put any of my UK investments in this year so will probably need an agent..I have approximately 700k thb in my account and need 400k to finish purchasing a house in Thailand..I have much usage of this account in 2024..I am considering getting married.would it pay me to get all documents necessary prepared now to get a marriage license registration and then marry asap as I have the required 400k already in the bank. Hope this makes sense, thanks for any input
I am currently on a tourist visa that has an end date of Oct. 24. Is it okay to leave Thailand on the 24th or do I need to leave on the 23rd to not have an overstay?
Hi all! Hope anyone was more lucky finding out the details, or maybe was in a similar situation. Coming back to Thailand after 2 months away on a visa arrival (tourist). Will be leaving again in December for a month. I understand I need to be in my home country to apply for DTV? So to get this, I will need to stay as tourist until December and then apply from my home country? Will that 1 month be enough time? Or do I have another option? THANK YOU
Hello !!!! I am in need of information regarding recent Non 0 Visa changes. Previously, I would apply for a Non O multiple entry based on marriage to a Thai national. We only stay about 6 months, so we would take a short trip, and get an additional 90 days on re-entry at the end of which we return home, and repeat the process the following year. Now they are only issuing single entry, good for 90 days, and the rules for extending, or leaving, and re-entering aren't clear. I am hoping someone can add some light to these recent changes. Thank you !!!
I am currently in Thailand with a 15-day visa on arrival. I would like to know if it is possible to depart Thailand and visit another country, such as Malaysia , and then flight back to Thailand and obtain another 15-day visa on arrival from the airport.
Looks like the thai embassy in Norway requiers a return, or onward, ticket when applying for the non-o retierment visa. (Also,, not possible to apply for multi entry.😢)
What are the options for ticket out of Thailand?
I'll be applying for the 1 year extentions anyways. Was hoping a one way ticket was enough but aparently not,,
This is the published order that as in effect tomorrow Russian nationals will get a 60 day stamp on arrival - a change from the previously granted 90 days.
At this point in time it is unclear whether they can still opt for a 30 day entry (and therefore get an extension and possibly change to another type of visa in country - which they could not with a 90 day entry) or not. I will update when I hear more.
If you are on a marriage visa, can you put 800,000bht in the bank and not have to show a monthly income Or do you still have to show the 40,000/60,000bht a month income each month on top of the bank balance?
I'm going next month to Savannakhet for my first Non-O Visa (married). Just wanted to be sure they still don't ask for the 400K in a Thai bank for two months, right?
I have (more than) that money in my EU banks, but still didn't transfer here, and not in time to curate them for 2 months - my current permission of stay expires in four weeks.
The Embassy's website doesn't list that requirement, but I know sometimes the website isn't updated for years...
