We are looking into getting the retirement visa. I am 51, my husband 54 and we have 2 kids under 18. Our initial thought was to apply for the visa in my name and have my husband and kids added as dependents.
On some websites this seems a reasonable way to go, but others say that is the spouse is over 50 they need their own repent visa and another 800k in the bank.
Are there any foreign couples who can shed some light on this? Can we go the dependents route?
Currently in Thailand on 60 day tourist visa from UK. Over 50 and aiming for non O retirement visa. 800, 000 baht seasoning in the bank. Have been advised by immigration today that my children aged 13 & 14 cannot be added as dependants because they are not non O already. I thought they could be added as trailing dependants??
Hi, I am coming to Thailand with a non- immigrant (B), I want to apply for my son and husband as (O). The online application asks for a reason, and I do not see because they are dependents? And when I say (O) other, it says not available at this time.
Hi everyone, looking for advice on the Non-Immigrant “O-A” visa if anyone has experience. . . We are a family of four looking to move from Ireland once restrictions are lifted. My husband meets the age and financial requirements for this visa. We wish to apply for the “O-A” as it allows us to use assets here to verify satisfaction of the financial criteria and also gives a 12 month visa (which I understand is required in order to import your household effects without being subject to import duty). My question is how myself and our two young kids can “piggyback” on this visa, as ‘dependents’- is this possible? Or, should we be exploring additional options?
Hi folks. This is potentially a silly question, but I wanted to check with this group just in case I have been misinformed.
We are a family of 4, with 2 young children (4 & 6 years old). I enquired about the Elite Visa to see if we could pay for 2 adults, and the children be allowed as dependants.
The Elite Visa company said that the children need an Elite Visa also, which seems a little OTT to me given that they are young children.
I wondered if anybody had any experience with an Elite Visa, and if you know whether we could purchase for adults only, and the children be allowed to accompany us as dependants.
