What is a TM 7? Do I need it for a 30 day extension and can I get it when I apply at immigration?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM7 is a form related to visa extensions in Thailand, specifically when applying for a 30-day extension. While the necessity of the TM7 may vary, many users have indicated that it depends on the local immigration office whether a TM30 form (filed by your hotel or landlord) is required for the extension application. It's advisable to ask for a copy of the TM30 before applying, as certain immigration offices mandate it while others do not.
Arrived in Thailand around 5,30 am, got driven to Pattaya and was on my way home by 10,05 registration done and advice regarding Non -0 given and I will be acting on the suggestion. Perfect start.

As to whether you need a TM30 when getting a 30 day extension is entirely up to the local immigration office you use. Some require it. Some don’t.
A TM30 is what a hotel/landlord/owner files on you with immigration within 24 hours of you moving in. Ask them for a copy as some immigration offices require it, and others don't, as long as it is on file, and current. To be sure get a copy from wherever you are staying before you go to get your extension

Your hotel should do it for you, you can confirm when check in
