I recently submitted my NON O VISA based on Thai wife in Changwattama. This is my second yime applying for it and I need to return on 24th Nov to obtain a 3-month grace period stamp. However, I might need to leave the country before that due to urgent matters. What are the implications if I leave during this 3-month grace period or even before  24th? Thank you in advance.

if you need to leave during your under consideration you should have told them that when applying. Normally you must return on the date they gave. You can bring proof of you needing to leave to immigration and ask if they can change it but they can also say no.

I just found out the other night that I might have to leave, not on the day I submitted my VISA application. I thought someone out here might have gone through a similar situation and could share their experience. Well, if I really have to leave while under consideration,(which I dread) I will visit the immigration office. And I will share my two bits in this group.

Get a re-entry permit but make sure you're back for the 24th or you lose your extension and have to start with a Non-O again.

You can renew your visa two weeks before, an easy way to sort it go to your local immigration office and ask them, not everyone knows everything on here, good luck

You have applied for a Non O based on having a Thai wife ? You then go back on 24 Nov to get the stamp … that is set in stone. If you wanted to go earlier you should have said on the day.. Not appearing on the date will make your application null and void

you apply for a re-entry permit before leaving the country. If you leave without one you forfeit your visa when exiting the country. (This is assuming it works just like a non-b)

If you're planning on extending it by 1 year, I would suggest attempting to do it before leaving.

There's no such thing as a 3 month grace period. What visa or extension are you on now? What did you go to immigration to apply for?
