Hi all, 

I need some advise for a non b visa. Sorry for the long story. 

We are currently in our home country The Netherlands. We use to stay 6 months in Thailand and 6 months in The Netherlands every year. My husband works in Thailand as a selfemployed singer and is listed as General Manager on his work permit. It’s impossible to change this according to our laywer. We used to get a 1 year non b, but the last time we could only get a 90 days single entry in Penang. 

We plan to go back to Thailand in October. But not sure what’s the best date to go???

The work permit expires on January 6 2020. We will go for a non b in The Netherlands (or any other European country if that’s easier and if we can get a 1 year non b there).

What’s the best date to fly back to Thailand?  Will we get a 90 days non b if the work permit expires within those 90 days?

Try to get the 1 year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant B visa at the Thai Embassy in The Hague before you leave, if the only give the Single Entry Non Immigrant B visa use this to enter Thailand and after 60 days apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on working in Thailand at your local Immigration Office or if you can not meet the requirements, the only option is to go abroad an apply for a new Single Entry Non Immigrant B visa again.

Thanks for the info, Robert! I do have all that.

Do you also know if 2 passport pages are enough? I read somewhere a while ago that you need at least 4 empty pages, but I can't find that info again.

That is one part, you also need to be named Managing Director on the company papers and have a Work Permit valid for at least 8 months from application date for the visa.

I was informed Managing Director is ok for a one year, General Manager unfortunately not (in feb ‘19).

Hey!

I have to go to Penang in 2 weeks. My wp says managing director. I was told that I could get a one year multiple entry with that. Any insight in that?

I'm on my last 2 passport pages, so kinda have to get it right this time... thanks.

Tnx! We will try to get the one year, but last time they denied it because as General Manager you only get a 90 days visa now. In Penang, hopefully The Hague gives a year. Fingers crossed.

You can get whenever suit you. IF you can get non-b single or multiple, you will be stamped for 90days and you can stay as long it says regardless yur work permit expiration. But even you are staying in Thailand on Non-B, you cannot work after your work permit is expired.
