TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks whether a TM30 receipt is necessary for extending a tourist visa at Laksi for the first time. Commenters clarify that tourist visa extensions generally occur at the Chaeng Wattana office, while visa-exempt entries can extend at Laksi. It's suggested to obtain a TM30 receipt as it can be a hit-or-miss requirement. Additionally, the immigration offices are confirmed to be open the following day.
and that is exactly why, after I read your comment I asked her to confirm one more time ๐

It's totally going to come down to previous entry/stay history and if you have extensions with a different address than you're using now.
AND
As Ellie said, it's hit or miss as far as if you will need one, all you can do is go apply and see if it goes thru OR they ask you for one when they check your documents
its my mom's. She came here last sept for a week. She came back this month but missed her flight back last week so we are extending tomorrow. Ive read that if its first time we wont need but il ask from my landlord still. Thanks
In Bangkok, it's more like a hit-or-miss situation if you will be asked for a TM30 receipt or not for a tourism extension. Better to get and bring a TM30 receipt unless you are happy to make another trip to Laksi in case.
Immigration offices will be open tomorrow, 1 May.
