I have a re-entry permit question specific to Chiang Mai.

I want to get a multiple re entry permit .... i have a Non O visa. I understand the documents I need but not the process.

Do I need to go through the document checking process at Immigration or is there a different counter. Also, does it make any difference which Chiang Mai Immigration office I go to.

Finally .... how long does it normally take?

Wednesday, February 12 is Buddhist holiday. Where can I find if this will result in closing of Chiang Mai immigration office?

Question if anyone has experience about applying for a DTV using an agent through the soft power option. As some reports coming back for people extending DTV at immigration in Thailand are being asked to provide documents proving original application. Does anyone have information specific to Chiang Mai immigration or do you think soft power via agent will mean leaving Thailand every 6 months. Thanks

- can I make photocopies of passport and take passport photos at the Inmigration Offices?

After a long day at Chiang Mai immigration I was successful in obtaining my first year extension of my non o retirement visa. Thanks ever so much to this group for the invaluable advice to date.

I am in Thailand on a 90 day non-O (retirement) e-visa, which expires a month from now. Is it possible to extend it for another 90 days at the (Chiang Mai) immigration office, or will I need to leave the country and apply for another non-O e-visa from outside the country? Thanks.

I’m currently in Bangkok on a Tourist Visa (TR) with a single entry, which expires on December 9th. I’m planning to apply for a 30-day visa extension and was wondering about the best place to apply.

However, I’m leaving Bangkok on December 1st and will be in Chiang Mai around the time I plan to submit my application (likely December 2nd or 3rd). I’ve also read mixed reviews about the Chiang Mai immigration office, with some people mentioning delays or even rejections.
