I came in on 60 day visa exempt on Uk passport and want to extend 30 days att immigration office.
I’m told I need a TM30 for this.
I stay in a property owned by my brother, he’s unreachable and can’t help me.
How can I get a TM30 myself without any documents like home ownership etc?
It’s a condo block and there reception didn’t want to know and wouldn’t help…
Maybe if I checked into a hotel for a night nearby could they do it? Or does the stay at said hotel have to be for the length of the stay you you applying for I.e 30 days?
A couple of months ago, I got a TM30 renting a private residence (using the blue book). When I go back in for my 90 day report, the owner will be overseas. What do I need to bring? Is it the same procedure as another TM30?
Can someone please help. I live with my partner and I am not on the landlords lease agreement, she won't put me on cause im a foreigner. I am now changing to a ED visa cause of college and I need a TM30 form for immagrations. What can I do?
Hi all. I’m on a 1-year retirement extension as of Dec. 26, 2022. Since then, we bought a condo in BKK & moved in. I need to fill out the TM30 - but we live there, we are the tenants.
3 questions:
The TM30 instructions require a copy of passport & house registration “certified as a true copy.” What does this mean? Do I find a notary & have them certify a copy of my documents? Or can certification be done at immigration in BKK?
When do I notify immigration of new address - now, or at my 90-day check-in? (March 2023.)
Registering new address online - our previous rental landlord had to update something online that showed us as the tenants. How do I create that record online now that I am the owner? (There is no mention of this in TM30 instructions.)
My wife has enrolled for Thai classes which requires a TM 30. The place we were staying at the time could not or would not help us. We have recently moved to a new place and the school says the TM 30 info they gave us is good.
However, the new place is a nightmare and we want to move again at the end of the month. Will we need to get a new TM 30 when we change places? It feels like nobody wants to give the information when you ask for it.
Yesterday I went to MTT Immigration Office to check status of TM30 application which the owner of rented condo was adamant she had mailed to Immigration early January. Kept telling me to “wait for receipt to come in the mail”.
Given it was some 5 weeks I had my suspicions and worry.
Arrived at MTT about 11.30am, went to get queue ticket, explained my issue. Then I showed her the paperwork I had prepared based on Tod’s “self filing” process. IO just said “oh OK” ( like she was quite familiar with it) and took me through to IO inside at counter. I explained issue and the paperwork I had prepared. I then went to another IO who checked paperwork and explained there is a 800 Baht fine which I expected. Off to another IO where I paid the fine and received my TM30 receipt. In and out in 25 minutes and a smile and helpful attitude from staff.
So Tod’s advice on self filing worked a treat. Thanks Tod.
(Post script - IO found no evidence of submission by owner.)
I am curious about this TM.30... Is there a lot of difficulty in doing this document. Seems people shy away, have an aversion to it, or try to avoid it. I ask because most likely I’ll have to do it in next couple of months as wife will not be around. She’s never complained about it but I read a lot of posts on it.
