Has anyone in here applied for the DTV from the washington dc embassy? When i was looking at the thailand website it says the amount of money needed in your account is set by the embassy but it’s so hard to get a response at the DC embassy. Me and my boyfriend are set to start our expat journey on November 3rd and our first stop is thailand however we are unsure what visa we would need to get! We are currently getting our TEFL and the program would be completed there but i’m getting mixed reviews on applying to teaching jobs before moving vs doing it after moving because of course visa concerns ! Could anyone direct me to a youtuber or a blog with better information ? I’ve been using reddit , national pages and the “Retired working for you “ youtube channel
The EVisa portal is requesting a document but I haven’t received an email regarding what documentation I actually need. I’ve sent multiple emails to the embassy and tried getting through on the phone but no luck. Anybody have any advice on want to do? It’s the Washington DC embassy.
I want to thank everyone for their posts. I am in USA, and just received back my passport with a Non-O/A over 50 visa in it. I will give a quick overview, thanks to those who said avoid Chicago Consulate, I did the E-Visa and selected to send documents to the Washington DC Embassy. Everything went smoothly until payment, the E-Visa system is set up to take only debit cards, or credit cards that allow debit. Make sure you submit documents as stated. It took exactly 15 days from submitting documents till I got passport back. A Shout out to Robert Jackson with AXA insurance, and yes the Sawasdee 365 days insurance covers both the visa requirements and Covid insurance for COE. Thanks everyone for your voices and sharing info.
Strictly for U.S. passport holders-Did anyone receive a regular tourist visa (60 days) through New York Embassy AND DC Embassy recently? I thought it was nearly impossible in 2020 heck even 2021.
