Hi all, so I was planning to get my Non O visa in the UK and fly out next month to Bangkok, the intention was to get the 1 year extension visa on this trip.... given all these issues getting a bank account, is it now going to be impossible ? I didn't intend on using an agent and I was going to try and sort it myself in one of the bank branches...I would be grateful for any advise, as I'm currently stuck in limbo..
If you are on a retirement visa and leave Thailand for a few months, is there any reason to go to immigration in person upon your return? Our landlord/rental agency always updates our TM30 online whenever we’ve been away for short trips.
Tourist Visa Extension Report. Jomtien Immigration. Arrived at 8.30 am and I was out at 9am. It took 30 minutes and it wasn't busy.
Needed passport photo, TM7 form filled out, TM30 docket plus photo copy of it, passport, passport bio page copy, visa copy and entry stamp copy.
I didn't really know where to go but went to the building on the right and was directly pointed to the new middle building where they did document checking. Passed that and was directed to main building counter one, handed over passport and papers and the 1900 baht and was told to take a seat and wait until processed. Took about 25 minutes guy calls my number and it was all done. Cost 1900 baht. You can do it yourself, all good.
We cleared out lots of antiques from my in laws old Bangkok shophouse. Among the things that turned up is this lamp from the 50s/60s. Seems it’s 110 volt. Anyone know what the outcome will be plugging this into 220volts?* Thanks.
I'm on a 30 day visa exemption + 30 day extension (Not Tourist Visa). I just renewed my USA passport and got it in the mail today.
I think I'm supposed to go to immigration to have my stamp transferred to the new passport now - but what happens if I don't and I just showup at the airport with both passports?
Is there a fine or anything?
Would like to save myself the extra trip to immigration if it can be avoided.
Just an update FYI my husband flew to KL to get non o based on my retirement extension, the first day he was in the embassy 3 minutes presented paperwork and picked up visa next day no problems
For people living in the vicinity of Sai tai mai (new Southern Bus Teminal) Bus no 66 (orange with AC & beige/red without AC) brings you to Government Complex Chaeng Wattana ... the bus stop is right in front of the building, where the immigration is located.
