about to ask has probably been asked before but I can’t seem to find the exact answers for what I need.
My husband and I re-entered ChiangMai on Oct 27 from our vacation in Europe. We are from the US, and have been living in Chiangmai for about 3 months before we left for our vacation. We have a rental house, lease expires next July.
We have each, bank accounts with the min 800k baht set up a few months ago.
When we entered Chiangmai on Oct 27, immigration stamped for 60 days, expiring Dec 25.
We now wish to apply for the retirement visa. From what I’ve been hearing, I will first have to extend our tourist visa by another 30 days, after that, I’m fuzzy about how and when to do the retirement visa application. Will appreciate step by step guidance from those of you who are experienced. Much appreciated. Thanks!
Hopefully moving over to marriage visa soon and a little unclear on the process. I am mid 60 day tourist visa now. Can I apply now or do I need to be inside the 30 day extension?
I am currently in Thailand with a non immigrant ED visa. Because different people told me that I can not change this visa to a non immigrant O based on marriage visa at the Chonburi Immigration, i decided to do this in Penang.
First question: Can I really not change the visa type at Chonburi immigration?
On the website from the Penang Consulate I couldnt find the requirements for this visa type. On the page from the embassy of Kuala Lumpur i could finde some.

Point 6.3:
"Bank statement (last 6 months) in Thailand with recommended balance of 400,000 Thai baht"
Second Question: Mean this, I need to have the 400000 ฿ in my account 6 month prior to the visa application?
is it possible to change my non immigrant OA visa (i am at the second year stamp at the moment) at the immigration in chiang mai into a non immigrant O family visa (i am married and have a kid)? i have heard thats possible, have anyone done it?
Hi All, My husband is needed a visa to enter Thailand. Can he apply tourist visa then later change to a non-O marriage visa while in Thailand? If possible, how long will it take? Thanks.
Planning to return to Samui in May or June 2022. Im thinking of another 90 day visa then change it to a retirement visa when I am there.
Is that possible?
I was also thinking a possible ED visa and take a Thai language course. I know I can change the tourist visa to ED visa but not sure about changing it to a retirement visa. Anyone a le to answer
