Anyone experienced this issue with a DTV visa?

I got my DTV visa six months ago and am about to do my first 180-day re-entry.

While in Thailand, I obtained a new passport and had my visa transferred to it. However, the visa stamp in my new passport only shows validity for six months, with no mention of the full five years.

My E-Visa states it expires in 2029, but it’s still linked to my old passport number. I’m concerned this might cause issues at immigration when re-entering Bangkok.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

They transferred your entry stamp into your new passport, as that's the only thing that can be transferred. The visa cannot be transferred.

When you enter Thailand you'll have to present both your old and new passport along with your e-visa for the duration of the 5 years.

my wife has to go through the same thing with her US visa her passport was about to expire that had her original visa when we got the new passport. The US Embassy will not transfer the visa stamp to her new passport so for the next eight years, she has to carry two passports when coming to the US every year, a bit ridiculous I think.
