ATTENTION MEMBERS:

I just had someone who went to Bumrungrad Hospital for their tourist visa extension let me know that they raised the service charge to 800 baht.

That is in addition to the 1900baht they charge for 30 day extensions.

You can get a 30 day extension on visa exempt or tourist visa entries there on Saturday from about 9 to noon, BUT you should call and make an appointment.

They don't like walk ins.

FWIW: They have not increased the fees they charge to do a 90 day report for people. They still charge 600 baht for that. You need to drop off your passport and then pick it back up a few days later.

they are open from 9 to 12 on Saturday for extensions. You call the number in the link I provided and get on the list. A person did an extension last week and it took them about 45 minutes.

Yes. Just remember, youll be paying a premium. 1900 visa extension fee plus 800 service charge.

, if you go to Bumrungrad Hospital and have them do your 90 day report for you, believe me you pay 600 baht.

Otherwise you are correct you can slog out to Chaengwattana and file your 90 day report on your own for free. ;)

Ah, Bumrungrad... I live a few hundred meters away, and have had surgery and 'scrips filled there (they will write for anything and everything, by the way) but they are, indeed, pricey. And they don't care for walk-ins. On visas or any other service. But.... Talk about quality care? Wow.
