I havn't seen a single post of anyone applying or trying to get the DTV from any Chinese locations, which weird because flights aren't that expensive and they have a BUNCH of Consulates to choose from. Anyone have any idea how or if they would be a good option?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the difficulties of applying for a Thai DTV visa from China. It's noted that while there are many consulates and flights are affordable, most consulates require applicants to be Chinese citizens or residents, making it less accessible for other nationalities.

The embassy/consulates in China require you to be a citizen or resident of the country to apply via those places. They are not like the embassies in Southeast Asia.
