Hi everyone, is it possible to apply for the DTV Visa online while in Thailand? Or do we have to leave the country to apply even if its online?

No, you cannot get the DTV while you are in Thailand. The DTV is only available from Thai embassies, and to use a Thai embassy you must be physically in the country where the embassy is. Part of the application is proving where you are physically located with a passport stamp or some other evidence, and many embassies have started asking for additional proof a few days after your application to ensure you are still in the country as well.

ok but if it’s applied online we physically don’t have to go into an embassy right? Because I live far from one so that’s why I’m asking.

no, you do not have to go to an embassy if that embassy has adopted evisa. But you still must be physically inside that country in order to apply and you must provide proof to the embassy that you are physically in that country. You cannot be in Thailand.

Because the op is asking about e-visa. There are very few Thai embassies left where you go to the embassy. Most of them you apply online now, but you still must be physically in the country when you apply.
