Hi All.

I'm sure this has beed asked in the past but I can't seem to find it.

I'm on a student visa but have a slight emergency and need to leave on Friday and coming back in 10 days. How do I get a exit permit, costs, and what do I need and where do I do it? 

I think I can do it at DMK on my way out of the country but I just want to make sure.

a re-entry permit keeps you current "admitted to stay until" stamp alive until the date shown in the stamp or as long as the admitted until of your ED-visa

at Don Mueang Airport the re-entry desks are behind the immigration, just tell them that you need a re-entry permit and they will direct you there. At Suvarnabhumi airport the re-entry desk is in Section 2 of Departure and is before immigration. However you need to pass security screening upstairs (downstairs with VIP pass) before you reach this desk. There are no other re-entry desks at Suvarnabhumi. The one mentioned and the one at DMK are open and serving

Oh ok. so kinda simple process at DMK? just pay 1200b and its all done. I don't need anything from school or anything?

no the reentry permit just keeps your “admitted to stay” date alive. You’ll be stamped back in until that date on rentry.

The reentry permit desk is open 24 hours. Someone will comment on exact location at DMK. I can’t recall if it’s before or after immigration officer stamps you out.

Reentry permit at the airport. 1200 baht (200 is admin fee for photo and paperwork)
