Hello, regarding this category: I'll be staying at my girlfriend's father's villa. Since it doesn't have an official name, I'll simply list it as "Villa with the number" followed by the address, etc. Do they ask for a TM30 form or other document ?

Applying from Vietnam, thank you very much

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the necessity of a TM30 form when staying in a villa belonging to a friend's family, which lacks an official name. A commenter indicates that a TM30 may not be required, although proof of residence, such as a lease or rental agreement, might be requested.

No TM30, but they might ask about your lease/rental agreement

that’s the thing, if there is no rental for the moment, the dad of my girlfriend will host us for the moment ..

Thanks for your answers, I’m doing in Vietnam, everything online, so I don’t know how I will tell them that, if they ask me for some document about the « accommodation in thailande »

you booked for how many days ?

For 81 days.

basically I didn’t wanna book for less than 60 days, as they might think why I just don’t use the 60-days visa exemption and why do I need the DTV.

no worries, they can just provide a statement along with ID if needed. If push comes to shove just book a refundable hotel room and tell the consulate you are looking for long term rental when you get there or whatever your situation dictates. I mean many people are going to stay there for 6 months, some stay a month or 2 months so every case is different just make yours believable. What scheme are you using to get the DTV?
