I am trying to do my TM30 in BKK and today I did not have all the paper work but the officer added something about Power of Attorney from the house owner. Do I really need it in order to file the TM30 for myself?
I have never needed it in other provinces :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The need for a Power of Attorney (PoA) when filing a TM30 in Bangkok can vary. Some users have shared that they were required to submit a PoA form from their landlord, especially in stricter circumstances at the Bangkok immigration office. However, there are alternatives, like using an app to register online without visiting an office. It's essential to check the specific requirements you face, as previous experiences in other provinces may not apply.
I made a post way back when they started getting hard on TM30's in Bangkok on how to "Self File" and it will work if you follow it exactly the way I wrote it out
Conny Snyder. I'm not sure of the correct name but the shortcut symbol looks like this

I needed it. The officer at MTT Bangkok will have that PoA form for you. House owner has to sign, you bring it, buy 2 tax stamps for 18 baht at the booth on ground floor and you can do your TM.30.

Arnoud Zwemmer. Why do all that when you can do it in two minutes using the app from the comfort of your couch? π€£π€£π€£
true true, but yeah just moved houses; no account yet, plus had to do 90-day (first on extension) physically anyway, so did all together π

Arnoud Zwemmer. Absolutely, if you have other business at immigration it's worthwhile to do it all in one go. The app is so easy to use it's laughable. I kick myself for not doing it sooner!

There is a power of attorney form. I used it which allows you to do a TM30 if your landlord canβt or wonβt do it. As everything is, it is dependent on what province you are in.
