Hi!

I am currently on non-immigrant visa O for another 10 months.

End of this month I will fly from Bangkok to Japan so I will need re-entry permit.

Question: can I ask my re-entry permit already in Krabi district, where I live, multiple days ahead? Is there a limit of the validity of the re-entry permit?

Just want to save time at BKK airport, so figured to maybe do it in Krabi before.

You can go to your immigration office and request a re-entry permit. There's no requirement about how far ahead you can request it. You don't even have to follow the dates that you write on the application. Once you have the re-entry permit it's good for your next trip regardless. But the validity is only until the end of the stamp you purchased it for, so it would be good for 10 months.

Easy enough at airport, took 10 mins if you download and complete TM8 form and take passport photo you save on B100 fee……immig offices will be hectic over next few weeks due to public holidays
