I'm saying to prove funded from overseas would take paperwork from almost 3 years of deposits

that's good to know about the no proof of overseas funding. I've had a bank account for more than 2 years and proving that would be a lot of paperwork. I just added to make it 800k, so will have over 2 months "seasoning"

Why did Delta Airlines ask for a visa when flying to Thailand?

check your passport, it’s only a 60 day visa. You will have to get an extension if you need 90 days. The 90 days when applying is how long you have to begin using the eVisa.

that’s the reason for my question. If a TR was good for the 90 days, it will be worth it to get and avoid the extension hassle. Wish they would disable it from the US eVisa application.

How can expats in Thailand keep their US number just for 2-factor authentication?

I also ported my old US number to Google Voice. Four Cr card and 3 bank accounts, no problem. Paypal will also take Google authenticator
