Does anyone with experience of extending a 30/45 day visa exemption stamp know whether it’s easier/quicker to do it in Bangkok or Ko Samui?

Does it matter when during the initial period you get the extension? Do they add the 30 days to the original validity date or from the date of the extension application?

I would like to extend my stay to 60 days by "COVID extension stamp".

1. What a correct reason should i fill in the immigration office form to get 60 days extension?

Current process for traveling from Bangkok to Surat Thani/Ko Samui for a Thai citizen? Alternatively, are there other places that are simpler to get to? Mountains/beach/other cities (other than Pattaya or Hua Hin).

Somebody here (maybe german) who went to Ko Samui immigration for the first and normal 30 day extension and can give some report if it's as usual or if you really need that letter from your embassy (even if they don't do it)?
