More jomtien O-visa drama for my friend. He is renting a room that I own. I drafted a lease using my Thai wife's name as the landlord, included her ID and a copy of the tabian baan first page. I didn't want to put my name on it fearing that I'm not allowed to rent out a room for money as a farang on a retirement visa.
Dragon woman rejected it. She says she needs to see the "Thai family book"
What does that mean ? The original tabian baan ? Something else ?
I am married to a Thai national and have an O-visa (marriage).
I also have a, much newer, UK passport. Iis it possible to transfer my visa to the other passport.
I asked CM immigration (sub-office in Central Festival mall) if this was possible. I will be going to the UK and Germany this week and the immigration people suggested just using my UK passport when I return and getting a tourist visit and then applying for a new O-visa.
My wife and I I are UK citizens. can we just come with 90 days o-visa obtained from the UK and then lodge THB 800,000 in our first week, THEN wait until your 800K baht has been in our accounts for 2 months, then apply for one year extension?
O-Visa for retirement, obtained outside Thailand, i understand this will give me 90days then i apply for the longstay visa based on retirement when in thailand
Is it correct that i need medical insurance for this visa? Originally i thought having an O-Visa you don't need insurance but you do with an O-A visa
This is the reply i received from the thai embusy in NZ, maybe i misundertand it. See below
"As beginning 31 October 2019 applicants for non-immigrant type "O-A" Long stay and “O” retirement visas are required to have a health insurance with minimum coverage of 40,000 THB/year for outpatients "
QUESTION about changing visas after arrival. Can we enter on a TR tourist visa and change to an O-Visa (Guardian Visa) after kids are enrolled in school? Is this possible? One school said this is not possible from an STV Special tourist visa, but can it be done from a normal TR tourist visa
I am currently on an O-Visa (I am a child of Thai nationals) and want to extend my stay for as long as possible. I know I get a 60-day extension of I apply for it through my current visa, but I read in this group that I can also apply for the “Can’t Travel due to Covid” extension which would also give me another 60 days. Is this all correct?
Put simply, what are ways I can extend my stay in Thailand given that I am on an O-Visa?
Hello, I would like some advice regarding my Australian husband O-visa 1 year (married) if possible. I am aware there are different methods for proof of income eg. 400k, 40k per month ect. Does anyone have experience in relation to the option "other income sources" such as money coming from either a family business or investments ect ( from oversea). Apart from proof of the actual transactions what other proof or documents would immigration require to support the other sources of income method? Do they require more supporting information other than just seeing the 40k in a Thai bank account each month? I did hear about another requirement along the lines of having to take a thai bank statement to the embassy and have them approve and stamp it confirming it as an income source also? Thank you for any advice available.
I 've got a visa denied at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane to obtain O-visa based on my daughter birth certificate. Due to the fact that I cross the border from Thailand to Laos on my other passport. I have dual citizenship. They told me what needs to get back to Laos with a passport that I want to apply for a visa. Please help, if anyone had experience the same situation before.
