My wife & I are different nationalities (but over 50) & planning to both apply for one of the O visas. Is there a way to streamline the application by applying as a couple?, (our financials, investments, properties etc are mostly in joint names & tied in together), or are we each treated as individuals for the purposes of applying? Thanks.

Thanks for this. Chances are I shall therefore apply first and my wife follow as a spouse as she will be in & out more then me for business reasons. Just wondered if there was a “couples” type of application. Apparently not, but worth an ask !

, one more thing. If you want to go for the banked money route and use a joint bank account, you need to double your balance.

In case of a joint account, immigration officers would calculate your share of the balance by the average.

As Robert says,

1. Each of you meets the requirements and gets own Non-O retirement/Non-OA

2. One of you get Non-O retirement/Non-OA and another gets Non-O trailing spouse to a foreigner legally staying in Thailand

The Visa is a personal item, which means each of you has to meet the requirements on their own.

You might look into a Non Immigrant O or O-A for one of you where the person must meet the financial requirements and for the married partner a Non Immigrant O as depending on the partner without financial requirements.
