Taking our dog with us to Thailand (for our retirement)
We are looking at Lufthansa as they allow dogs in the cabin (in suitable pet carriers and subject to size and weight restrictions) alternatively the pet can go into the aircraft hold
The emotional side of me wants her to be with us, she is very timid and very close to me so will take comfort from hearing my voice and being able to see me
The other side of me is thinking, in the cabin, she will be cooped up in a carrier for 12 hours, similarly to us wearing a straitjacket and perhaps she would be more comfortable in the hold and some reports suggest being in the hold can be less stressful
Anyone have any opinions or experience on which option is the best and no. leaving her behind is absolutely not an option
Can anyone share your experience bringing a cat from USA to Thailand?
A family member is traveling over. Her kitten is a few months old now, but we wouldn't want to put her under the plane since she's like the runt of the litter and is a tiny girl.
My family member has the cat as emotional support but we aren't sure if we can or should put the cat up for such a long ride especially if she has to ride as cargo.
