When re-entering by land the 90days gets reset from the day entered right? Would it even be necessary to do a 90-report within the tourist visas duration?
Hi thanks for admitting me. I read somewhere that instead of the 800000 baht deposit in a bank. That it's possible to show something like 60000 baht a month deposited over a year
Hi everyone, my e-visa application for a Tourist Visa (Multiple Entry) may not be approved on time when I'm leaving... If this will be the case, is it possible to enter Thailand on my FIRST ENTRY via 30 days visa exemption (since my visa is still not approved) If the visa would get approved while I'm in Thailand already, could I just leave to a NEIGHBORING country for a few days and than re-enter Thailand again with the TR Multiple Entry visa from e.g. Singapur? I'm not sure if this is working for the Multiple Entry Visa since the req. is that you have to be in your home country while applying for that visa (what I was during application) Thanks for your help already!
I'll try to keep this question as brief as possible.
For the last 14 years I have held a work permit and a extension of stay based on employment. My employers accountant/lawyer has always handled all of the paperwork related to renewals, extensions etc. I have always gone to immigration or Labour Ministry whenever the accountant asked me to.
I am now finishing my employment on 13th November and switching to a retirement visa. The accountant is cancelling my work permit but is insisting that I don't need to cancel the extension of stay. Is this correct? Everything I have read says that I need to go to immigration to cancel the extension after the work permit is cancelled.
What are the consequences if I don't cancel the extension? I am planning to leave Thailand and return on a 30 day entry, then I will be applying for the retirement visa.
Thanks for your help
PS. My passport of almost full. I am told that I need 3 full pages to make visa applications. I have that but they are not consecutive. Will that be a problem?
Has anyone recently visited the Thai Consulate in Penang to fetch their ED Visa?
I would like to know if they have changed the required criminal record check document in any way?
There is a school suggesting to me that they might have updated their requirements for this doc that may now need fingerprints etc? And this type of doc must be done at the police station.
Will they accept the same type of check they always have, or is there some new rule now?
2 part related question. I think I know the answers, but "I thought" doesn't carry much weight at immigration if I am wrong!!
1. Transferred my visa to my new passport a couple of weeks ago. Will I need to make a 90 report in person with the new passport 1st before I can do online reporting ( I have been doing) or am I still good to go?
1. 90 day report is due 9 Jan 21. Renewed my retirement extension today 3 Dec, valid until 13 Dec 21. Does my 90 still need to be done 9 Jan or does the 90 days start from today ( renewal of visa)?
Yes, I now realize these are questions I could/should have asked at the 90 day desk while I was there. Thanks in advance!
Hello guys, my husband passport already full cannot put new stamp for his retirement visa, his new passport not arrived yet,but he had 2nd passport,is it possible for him to get extension base on visit visa 30days? While waiting for new one. Or any boarders open?
With the proper documents, they put my adress on my work permit, which allowed me to have a thai driving licence and to open bank accounts. I did it at the same place where I got my W.P.3.
Hi everyone
I just received my work permit and I now need a Certificate of Residence, for driving licence and to open a bank account.
I was told I could have my adress (where I leave right now, at my gf's house) print on my work permit with the right documents (TM30 etc...) and that it would "replace" a certificate of residence.
This modification will be done at the same place where I got my WP3/ Work permit for a 300THB fee.
I would like to avoid the hassle of going to immigration or embassy if possible, the people where I did my work permit are super friendly.
