I am married to a Thai man, I want to go to join him for 4months , but the criteria for o/a visa is difficult. I would be better off with tourist visa and extend for month! So 3 months. We have been married for more than 30years and it’s got more difficult.
👋 just joined and hoping for some insight into my best option for spending 6 months a year in Thailand 🇹🇭 from November to the end of April
I have an idea but open to hear other opinions, I have been climbing in Railay Bay and Tonsai Bay for over 25 years and now I’m at an age that allows me more me time!
My budget is limited so nothing extraordinary expensive
I'm applying for a one year extension based on Retirement next month. My visa is Non immigrant O-A multiple entry.
I'm good to go with the requirements.
My question is what can I do with the one year extension once granted? Let's say during the extension validity I need to take a trip to Australia for a month. Should I buy a re- entry before leaving Thailand? Does leaving Thailand impact the extension?
It should be obvious I haven't a clue. All comments appreciated. Thanks.
Hey guys, i live in europe with my husband (Uk citizen) and eventually we want to settle in Thailand. We are married and aware he can get a non O based on marriage and have the 400k in a bank account for the yearly extension. My question is about him working legally in Thailand, unfortunately he doesnt have a degree. Officially Qualified in airline operations/ticketing, what would his options be in terms of working ? Appreciate any good advice.
Partially signed up for a language course today and ED visa, but upon further research I found out what a pain it is with the 90 day check-ins as well as the 60 day extensions on top. Might as well move to Chaengwattana.
I was thinking of getting an METV as I am going home to my country for a 1 month visit. I have one METV from last year that ended in April of this year. Then another single entry one up until now. Full disclosure I do have an overstay stamp in my passport for over 30 days, (it was ignorance on my part not knowing the entry rules, but an accident not trying to play with the rules). But no red stamp, and only total previous tourist visa stickers. If I were to go that route, would I be ok to get another METV in my country & should I get a new passport beforehand?
