Hello, as a French applying for DTV in Vietnam, I translated most of the documents in English, but what about the bank statement and my 6 months salary, it’s mostly numbers.. Should it be translated from French to English too ..?
FYI for anyone applying in Vietnam this week. I submitted my application to the Hanoi embassy just before 5pm on Monday and have been sitting at Pending document check ever since - 48 hours later. Previous reports suggest that usually people have moved to pending approval status by now. So delays for the holidays seem inevitable.
UPDATE: after asking for a couple of my documents to be re-sent, and resending pretty much immediately, I have now moved to Processing Pending Approval! I think that's good news 🤞🤞
UPDATE 2: Thanks so much for everyone's advice in this group! Tet miracles can happen. I got approved this afternoon a few hours before the embassy closed for the holiday. I hope everyone else in a similar situation got approved so quickly.
i've seen mixed messages on where is better to apply from, Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi?
Can anyone give input on this?
Also, if you enter Vietnam via Ho Chi Minh could you still apply at the Hanoi embassy given it is all done and processed online? Or would you have to have arrived via the Hanoi entry port to apply there?
Is there anyone who has received approval from Phnom Penh after 10 business days? Today is my 10th day and I still haven't heard anything. I've had no requests for extra documents and it went to Pending Approval on the same day.
If I'm heading to Vietnam to apply for the DTV (I'm currently in Thailand) should I include the address of the accommodation in Vietnam on the cover letter, or my permanent address back in the UK (I haven't been there for years)?
Any tips on what I should/shouldn't include in the letter? I work remotely and have the funds etc.
Workcation - remote worker application through Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
I have been poring through posts from people who have applied through Vietnam as well as other countries and my question is:
1. if you have the documents, should you just submit them all?
ie - instead of providing the minimum and waiting for the request for additional documentation, just put everything into the pdf (paystubs, bank statements, resume, screenshots of remote work sample, etc etc if you have it)
Hi everyone I’m super sad I travel to Vietnam and apply here for the DTV under a workcation status not sure what went wrong but 4 days after applying I get into my profile on their website and there is nothing seconds after receive this emails with not more explanations or options to fix anything , did I just lost all my money and time ? Or there is anything I can do ?
hello, does anyone have experience applying as a dual citizen?
I hold an Australian and a British passport.
I plan to apply using my Australian passport. My first three months of bank account statements are from a UK bank account, paid from an Australian company.
Prior to that I was working for a British company.
Has anyone had any issues to do with dual citizenship? or anything to be aware of.
Has anyone applied for the DTV visa in Vietnam? I am planning to travel there soon to do it and wanted to know if they require the 500k baht to be held for a minimum period of time. Also, since I work remotely, what documents should I request from my employer?
