Apologies in advance if redundant, but when you need to show the 500k THB for the DTV e-visa, does that need to be in a Thai bank account or, are you showing the equivalent amount in a US bank account for example? Thank you.

My wife and I are presently on a 1 year ED Visa in Thailand. I'm 56 and my wife 51 years old, both Canadian. At the end of the ED Visa, I'm planning to switch to a Non-O Retirement Visa within Thailand. Can my wife be a "trailing spouse" on my Retirement Visa or does she need to get her own Retirement Visa? Can she use the same 800 000 baht that I already have in a Thai bank account to get her own Retirement Visa? We got married in Thailand, not Canada and have all paperwork in order.

I am going to apply for a non-o visa in Nakon Phanom and have been told I need to go to Mukdahan to apply for first time, not really sure why. I have the 800 k in the bank already 1 month. Not sure what documents are needed and would appreciate any information or advice. Example would be if I need a bank letter and account statement when first applying.

I am returning to Thailand tomorrow on my multi entry O-A visa. The visa expires in mid Feb 2024. My question relates to the banked money component of my extension. I thought I did not need to put the 800k baht into a Thai bank, the same as when I got the O-A visa. But my local Immigration officer said I will need to bank the money, and the websites I have searched don't really address the extension requirements. Has anyone gone through this process and can confirm that I can leave my money in Aus for the extension. Thanks.

Thank you for reading and any replies. I am looking at OA retirement Visa options - 1. getting it in Australia will cost approximately 10000 baht plus the insurance requirement seems to be about 30000 baht..🤔

2. The other option is to come to Thailand on a 45 day Visa on arrival then pay somebody 30000 battery-> you get 15 months of retirement Visa, (tacked on to your 45 day free Visa entry), which includes a bank book and within that you have accident medical insurance ... is this all I need to do..??

Hello,

I entered on a 45 day Visa. I want to get a 90 day Retirement Visa. What are the qualifications or guidelines for that? Also, how much is the fee?

Thank you in advance
