Okay boyz & squirrellz it appears that the 30 day visa exempt entry program (which was previously for 57 countries) will be expanded to more countries AND will go from 30 to 60 days starting June 1st, 2024
The UK government updated their "travel to thailand" page showing that it's 60 days
AND
This graphic was put out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is appearing on websites of the thai consulates now
We still have not seen an official posting in the Royal Gazette or any police order revision from Thai Immigrations about this visa exempt entry change
BUT
I'm getting tired of denying people who want to post about it so here is the thread.
We know what you know and that is just the same endlessly repeated news.
Guess we'll all find out together, June 1st at 12:01AM :O
Non-Imm O-A Visa: According to the Thai Consulate in NYC website, "Upon arrival, holder of this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for 1 year from the date of first entry." Does anyone know if there's a time limit from the date of their granting the Visa to the date of first entry? For example, if I received an O-A Visa today, when's the latest that I would need to travel to Thailand? 2 weeks? 1 month? 3 months? 6 months?
I have got married in Thailand to an Italian national who has a work permit. I am applying for a NON-O marriage visa. Do I need a thai bank account to do this and is that possible without a work permit? Thanks for any help guys.
I have a question concerning ED-visa for intern. Does anyone have experience about requesting ED-Visa from Hong Kong (it is difficult to contact the embassy). Already tried to ask from Shanghai and they are not making ED-visa there. Visa applicant is from Finland and currently in China. If it is not possible to apply in Hong Kong which city would be closest to Bangkok for that purpose? Thanks in advance!
I have posted previously regarding visa requirements from uk for an initial 3 month visit. I have received some good feedback from this group, and subsequently visited the Thai embassy in London this morning and I was advised, because of my age, to apply for a retirement visa - either a 90 day single or multi entry.
So is the retirement visa the same as a non-immigrant type O visa?
