Why was my notarized degree from the British Embassy in Bangkok rejected for being from 2008?

Hello folks.

I'm after advice about getting my degree legalised for a work permit and visa.

I submitted my degree which has already been notarised in Thailand by the British embassy in Bangkok, but it has been rejected because the embassy stamp is 2008.

Does anybody know why there is a "past by" date?

Because the embassy in Bangkok no longer stamp degrees, i have to send the original back to the uk for stamping, or does anybody know a way of getting it done here in Thailand?

No. It was stamped in 2008 when I first needed it notarized

I’ve just had to do similar and sent it off and got it back in around 2 weeks using FedEx

I haven't checked, but will do so. I was a bit miffed because if i send it back, i will need to try and extend my visa again before i can get a non B. Thanks again for your suggestion

have you checked the Embassy won’t do it in these exceptional circumstances? I had my driving license notarised there recently

Many notarised documents have a limited validity. I presume it’s to do with that.
