I have a question regarding my non-immigrant B (teacher) visa. My employer just contacted me to find out if I have had my documentation (degree, transcripts, TOEIC score, etc.) verified by my embassy. Has anyone else had any experience with this, or is it just my employer confusing things? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the requirement for verifying degrees and other educational documents for those holding a Non-Immigrant B visa (typically for teachers) in Thailand. Users share experiences about the verification process, with some indicating that the requirement might differ based on the country of origin and whether you're applying for the visa inside Thailand or after traveling abroad. The importance of having documents sealed and potentially authenticated by the embassy is emphasized, along with the idea that these requirements can vary depending on the specific circumstances.
All degrees now need to be verified. Take a look at your consulate website.

In my experience I have yet to be asked to have my degree verified. It could prove problematic as I am South African but graduated uni in the UK. Near as I can tell, I've been at my job a number of years now and they only ask me what was required at the time. If I changed jobs it could be problematic but so far so good!

Until.you confirm if you are getting your Non B in country or out, all advice is pointless
I already have my 90- day non-b, for which I was sent back to South Africa.

The SA embassy in BKK doesn't authenticate anything, you'd have to send it to Pretoria to do it π but my understanding is that you only need your documents verified if you're doing a non b within Thailand, if you're going to Laos you should be chilled ππΎ

University documents should be in a sealed envelope with a stamp of the college across the back of the envelope that is a guarantee that it has not been tampered with.
