Hi, everyone! I entered Thailand 20th of December last year with TR visa, and transferred into Non-Ed visa since 30th of Jan. so my question is for the 90 days report, it is started from the 20th of December or 30th of Jan? (Sooooo confused 😅) Thanks in advance 🙏

This is going to sound weird, but it's neither of these dates.

When you entered with a TR visa, there was no way for you to stay more than 90 days, so you are not required to do any 90 day reports.

When you converted to ED visa, it's a 90 day visa, and there's no way for you to stay more than 90 days, so you are not required to do any 90 day reports.

But once you get your first ED visa extension, the time starts from when your extension started. So when you go back to immigration for your next ED extension, you will use that date as when your 90 day report timer begins.

This is all assuming you have a 90 day ED and not a 1-year ED.

correct! If she entered on December 2023 with a TR visa, she got stamped in until 19th of February 2024. Then however the 90-days of the Non-Imm-ED started on the day of application to the change, which was on January 30th. These initial 90 days will carry her until 29th of April. She needs to check the stamp - if she already got a 1-year Extension of Stay Permit out of the visa, her 90-days report is due in 90 days after she got the extension stamped. If she didn't get the 1-year extension yet, it's about high time to apply for 🤓as her 90 days stay permit expires in 10 days

I haven't got my ed visa extension yet, and you are correct, my current stay permit will expire in 10 days. also, I can only get 3 months extension each time (my school is 3+3+3+3, not 3+12), which is really annoying😕

they should actually put a piece of paper in your passport when you go get your extension and it will have the date for your 90 day report on it.

oh, I see. I actually heard people talk about this little piece of paper, which I didn't get last time. hopefully, I can get one when I get my visa extension next time, then I can just follow the date on it😅😂
