Hello, I have a 90 day reporting of residence question for the group, related to an initial 90 day ED visa I recently received. I entered Thailand on Aug and so was preparing to do my report. I asked my language school a question about it and they informed me that when I obtained the ED visa, that 90 day count was reset with the new visa and I won’t need to do the reporting. I’d never heard of this before and can’t find any source that notes that. Has anyone on an ED visa been told this as well, or anyone know an official source that states that? TIA

That is a common misunderstanding.

The first 90 days report counting starts when you get on an extension after the first 90 days from a Non-Immigrant visa. When you apply for an extension you will get the notification for the first 90 days due date. Just make sure you check with the immigration officer about that when you apply for an extension.

Usually, a notification slip will be stapled onto your passport.
