Anyone have any recommendations in regards to doing a border bounce from Thailand to Singapore back to Thailand? Iโm going to be overstaying by one day unfortunately due to my flight being cancelled last minute. Will there be any issues with immigration if I were to fly back in visa exempt after only one day in Singapore and also just having overstayed by one day? Input please?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns about performing a border bounce from Thailand to Singapore after an unexpected one-day overstay. Comments suggest that a brief overstay typically does not incur problems, especially if less than 24 hours and if one departs by air. Suggestions include seeking an extension at immigration or considering a land border bounce as it may provide a smoother entry back into Thailand. The necessity of avoiding a pattern of border bouncing to evade immigration scrutiny is highlighted.
you might be better off just bouncing out and back by LAND with a service that takes foreigners to the border
US passport is allowed TWO 30 day free entry by land in a calendar year
and
you won't get hassled about why you're "living here" on free stamp entries like can happen when you fly in especially if you do one of those "stay out just a few days" bounces.
You're not fooling the officers at passport control in the least ๐ฎ and they know the only reason you left was to come back on a new free entry stamp ๐
I'd say if all you're wanting is a new free 30 day stamp, bounce with a service by land to get it
Just flown this route with Scoot, stayed 3 hours in Singapore. Though I do have a Non O visa.
Overstay should not cause a problem. Itโs only when you get picked up by police that they can then deport you.
As for coming back next day, that is down the IO. If he thinks you are living here and border bouncing to stay here, eventually they will ask questions
totally different set of circumstances with you holding a Non-O visa bouncing out and back where the O/P wants to come in visa exempt ๐ That's like comparing Apples to Durian ๐ฎ

If overstay is less than 24 hours and flying out the fine will be waived and you'll get a stamp stating as such.
