What should I do if my amnesty visa extension is still under consideration in Thailand?

Hello - 

A few weeks ago (like many others) I paid to extend my amnesty visa and received an “under consideration” stamp with a date to return. 

Today, I went to the immigration office in Sriracha and was told to come back tomorrow to find out their decision. I’m a little concerned because I need the extra month so that my employer can convert my visa so I can obtain my work permit. 

Is anyone aware of any recent changes in policy or has anyone had a similar experience? I’m hoping that the delay is simply due to volume and that I will receive an answer sooner than later.

You should be fine and if you used the embassy letter to request a 30 day extension between July 31st and Sept 26th (the dates of the previous amnesty) you should get the extension stamp dated to Nov 30 when you go back with an under consideration stamp.
