Regarding TM30 in Jomtien.

I recently left the country for a couple of weeks and when I returned on 27th Sept I stupidly forgot to file an online TM30. I did file one on the entry before on 22nd Aug at the same address. Since this is our permanent address is it going to be a problem that I returned to the same address and didn't file for my most recent entry?

I have my annual extension of stay application soon so I'll need to have my TM30 status correct for that.

I could login and file an online TM30 now but you can't backdate the check in date past one day.

Any advice on the best course of action would be much appreciated.

Each office may be different but most if you leave the nation even border bounce requires new tm30. As typically when we go out , coming back stay at hotels a few days or weeks before return to private home, next day go immigration do tm30 as hotels report between. I've known some fined 4 6 10k thb for failing to report and thinking it's ok until doing 90 day. It's your LOCAL that decides

If your TM47 is good admin on submission, presuming you done a recent one pre admin your extension, your Tm 30 is not an issue.

In Jomtien if you returned to the same address with a re entry permit you don’t need a new one and none for traveling around Thailand

TM30 is such a simple thing to do online, I wouldn't risk it. The immigration offices sometimes give you a different answer depending on who you talk to on what day.

They told me I have to... change everyday but I know many people who never report coming back and no issue.

Jomtien is inconsistent, I never do TM30 when I return from overseas and never any prob, but I’ve witnessed several people be fined for doing the same. I always use same IO for consistency 🤣

I read somewhere that Jomtien IO does not need a new TM30 filed if returning to the same address...you might want to do a FB search.

I asked them in person in 2022 and they told me that we're supposed to file each time we enter the country and return home but not each time we return home from elsewhere in Thailand. Things might have changed since then of course!

Don't worry, just submit a new one.

The check-in date on TM30 does NOT have to be the same as your entry stamp. TM30 is supposed to be submitted within 24 hours after you arrive at that address, not the day you entered Thailand.

For example, I do my TM30 every time I stay out of my apartment, regardless of staying at hotels, guest houses, or a friend's.

In most cases, my TM30 has a much newer date than my entry date.
