I need to renew my Thai driver's license. It's been a while since I did it the first time. Anyone know what's the updated procedure to do it in Bangkok?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To renew your Thai driver's license in Bangkok, you'll need to prepare several documents: your original and a copy of your passport, a medical certificate (recommended even if not always needed for licenses over 5 years), a copy of your visa, and a copy and original of your work permit or proof of residence. You can go to the Chatuchak main office without an appointment, typically arriving around 7:30 AM. Be prepared for a likely queue, as appointments can fill up quickly—one user reported waiting until late March for a time slot. Renewal may require attending a video class, a physical examination, and a doctor's certificate. The entire process can take over six weeks. Determining your specific transport office's requirements can influence wait times.
Takes forever now. Book the video show 200bt Go back to transport office after with certificate and book a test, yes you have to do the physical and have a Dr certificate. Once that is done you have a date to actually get the photo and licence. Took over 6 weeks all up for mine.
Just went to Transport Department in Bangchak last week... you cant do on the same day.. i was asked to put my name in queue. As of last Tuesday the queue goes to 26th March.
