There are ongoing discussions regarding a proposed visa card requirement in Thailand, with conflicting opinions on its implementation. While some assert that a 'must' requirement is set to begin on May 1st, others believe it remains a proposal, emphasizing the need for clarification from official announcements. Concerns about additional costs and administrative burdens are raised, highlighting skepticism about the proposal's necessity.
it is just a proposal, it is unclear if the website they plan to implement it in will work. And last but not least it won't start before it hasn't been published in the Royal Gazette
the TM6 has never left the royal gazette……they just decided to waive it for a while after Covid perfectly entitled to now remove the waiver without approval from Germany, even if it is now automated in preparation for ETA…which probably would have to be gazetted along with B300 tourist fee….

A process with useless additional cost on Thai gov side and waste of time for travelers, that literally brings nothing new to the table.
