Hello.

I am currently in Koh Samui but have to leave the country at the end of March to apply for DTV visa.

Thinking about going to Malasia or Laos or going home to Sweden.

1. From which country is it easiest, cheapest and fastest to apply from.

many greetings from Peter

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Koh Samui is seeking advice on the best country to leave Thailand for when applying for a DTV visa at the end of March. Comments suggest that Laos may present challenges for the DTV application process, while Vietnam is frequently recommended as a simpler option. There are mixed opinions on Malaysia, with many suggesting it has the most complicated requirements. Some users also mentioned considering applying from their home country, Sweden.

Are the DTV requirements to do it from your home country?

Do not choose Malaysia... they have the most complicated requierments. I too, would recommend spending some week in Vietnam and apply there.

apparently Malaysia is the worst for DTV in SEA

Vietnam seems to be what most people recommend at this point

Jakarta seems the easiest.

- depending on nationality, you may have to apply for a visa first. Indonesia's online application is very user unfriendly

Many reports that Laos is not easy to get a DTV, and you'll be required to pay in person and also get called back in for an interview.

Many reports that it's very easy in Vietnam though.
