π If someone recently recovered from Covid, enters Thailand via Sandbox (with a negative PCR), and then one of their two PCRs in Thailand turns positive (can happen for a few weeks), what happens? Would a "certificate of recovery" exempt the person from potential quarantine or hospital stay?
Anyone with experience?
Cheers π

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post raises concerns about the possible outcomes for travelers who have recently recovered from Covid-19 and enter Thailand's Sandbox program with a negative PCR test but later test positive during their stay. The discussion focuses on whether a 'certificate of recovery' would exempt them from quarantine or hospital requirements.
The odds of her are high to test positive IMHO. As Thai laboratory's appear to be more sensitive to picking up the residual COVID particles. When was she considered fully recovered from COVID ?
depends on hotel province and whoever is on duty... Seems some have been able to handle and some have ended up in crap situations. If I was planning longer stay I would just go with it. Shorter if at risk I would not bother.
thanks! Do you know of any official policy text on this situation somehwere?
I could only find a policy saying recovered people can enter same as vaxxed people, but nothing that says that a positive test in Thailand would not result in isolation.
Thanks, I've seen that diagram, seems there's no special consideration for recentely recovered people. Was hoping for something else that addresses that situation, but seems there isn't. π
