TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on traveling to Thailand from the U.S. with a 2-year-old to visit family, inquiring about quarantine options and costs. Responses indicate that entry for non-Thai nationals is currently restricted due to COVID-19. If travel were possible, quarantine would be mandatory, with limited hotel options and high costs (around 50,000 baht per person). It is advised against traveling with a toddler at this time, and many suggest waiting until vaccine distribution improves safety.
Thank u everyone for your reply.... shall wait for vaccine then thnk of travelling if that vaccine is a success, theres no point putting my baby at risk and then so much money and stay for 2 weeks !!
Thank u once again 🙂

At this time, even if you could enter with your child, which right now you can not, it will cost you, with plane flights, Covid-19 insurance covering at least US$100,000 for each of you, and quarantine costs for both of you, it will cost close to $5000 minimum or much more, for the 2 weeks total you will see your parents, after quarantine's 2 weeks. You would have no problem with the quarantine, but I would never put a two year old child through that. If you could get here, which you can't, you are required to chose your quarantine hotel, and pay for it before you can get a certificate of entry from the Thai embassy, for both of you. They are not government provided.
thats pretty rude of you , i m asking questions to get help and know from people who jave gone throigh it and what they suggest !!!
I m doing my homework here !!!

Base on your questions. Firstly, not recommended to travel with a 2 yrs old baby at this time. Second there are limited hotels to choose for quarantine, and needs to be on the list of those qualify hotel. Hotel fees will be around 50k baht depends on the hotel.
oh in that case you will struggle if you have no Thai connections 🙄. I have Thai wife and daughter which I haven’t seen since Feb. With my current circumstances and the restrictions in place to get into Thailand I have no idea when I will see them .
