As somebody who has their first Non O — 1 year Extension of Stay date coming up at Bangkok Immigration, I have 2 questions; 1). Am I supposed-to in advance glue one of the 2 recent identical headshots required, to the application form? AND 2. If II have already a preplanned trip back to America this summer, and to avoid dealing with it at the airport in June, is it possible to receive a valid EXIT STAMP in my passport at the end of the upcoming Extension of Stay appointment?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on two points regarding their Non-O visa Extension of Stay appointment at Bangkok Immigration: whether to pre-attach a headshot to the application form and if it's possible to obtain a valid exit stamp at the end of their appointment, especially since they have a planned trip back to America. Responses indicate that the application typically requires the sticker to be glued by immigration officials, and clarify that an exit stamp cannot be pre-issued—it is given during the departure process. Additionally, there is mention of a potential misunderstanding regarding 'exit stamp,' which may refer to a re-entry permit that can be acquired at an immigration office or airport.

I think by EXIT stamp you mean RE-ENTRY PERMIT, which is something totally different. You can get these either at an immigration office or at the airport. 1000 Baht for single, 3800 Baht for multi.

1) they've always glued it on for me, but I've never gotten a retirement extension. Just other types.

2) obviously you cannot get an exit stamp BEFORE you exit Thailand. How would that even work? There's no line for people who already have a stamp. You'd still have to wait in line. It doesn't make sense.

You likely won't be dealing with it anyways since most people exit through the automated gates now and don't receive an exit stamp at all.
