Good evening. I'm from Nigeria I came to Thailand with TOURISTS VISA. Currently live in Phuket. I applied for work permit but I was rejected. I'm thinking of going to Laos to apply for the work permit. Or I should go back to Nigeria to apply? Please what's your advice for me,,🙏

You have to leave Thailand with the correct paperwork to obtain a Non B visa then you reenter Thailand and your employer is supposed to apply for a work permit in Thailand (cannot be done outside Thailand).

 yes. But they said I will have to go out of Thailand to apply . So I'm thinking which nearby country to go to. If you have any ideas please let me know.

You need to apply for work usually as English teacher. Then the school will provide the supporting documents so you can get a non B 90 days visa from Thai consulate in Vientiane Laos. Then you apply for work permit in Ministry of Labor. I don't think an agent can do that for you.

You first need a NonB visa, with a prospective employer, then only can you apply for a work permit

cant get a work visa unless you have a job offered to you. Do u have one? You need the documemts from that employer

 I use an agent to apply for the work permit. And she prepared the necessary documents with the employe .📃 but they rejected.. so I'm thinking of going to Laos or nearby country or I should go back to Nigeria?

You can't get a work permit on a tourist visa. You need to find a company to employ you and sponsor you for a Non-B visa and work permit

Did you have a job because if you did not that is why they rejected it. You find someone to give you a job and they will get you the visa and work permit.
