Just an observation to advise. I have just changed employment (schools) and obtained a new non B extension of stay. Except this time (different province/immigration office)  I have initially been given one month extension and then during this time they will check i am teaching at the school, they will then give me another 11 months. I have not experienced this before, i have usually been given 12 months straight off, not a problem, but I was wondering if this is a new policy or just one of these policies some immigrations do and others not!

Totally NORMAL.

Many immigration offices issue 30 day under consideration stamps for the first yearly extension based on employment and then you go back on that date and get the rest of the 11 months inked in.

. As mentioned not a problem just curious as I had never experienced this before. I knew it happened for a Non O based on marriage etc, but didn't realize the 30 day consideration stamp was used for employment
