Sorry if a second post wasn't necessary but... This morning I was hesitantly given a covid extension at Samut Prakan. All this time, they've technically been extending my expired non-o, is this correct? And... With the 400k deposited also this morning, do I apply for the 1-yr extension on said non-o in September or must I get a new visa?

Seasoning is based on months, NOT days. If money needs to be seasoned for two months, it literally means two months. If a person wants to figure out seasoning requirements, physically take out a calendar, put your finger on the date, and then flip the calendar to two month.

The concept of "days" have nothing to do with seasoning requirements.

They've been giving you an extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, and you entered Thailand on a Non-O visa.

The money needs to be seasoned for two months for a one year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai female. You can apply for this extension on September 23rd.

Michel Rossini Yes it is. For example, between July 25 and September 25th, there are 62 days. From September 25th to November 25th, there are 61 days. From November 25th to January 25th, there are 61 days.

I'm not going to do the rest of the math for you for every possible combination 😕

Michel Rossini No, I'm not talking about the fact that every other month has 31 days. I'm talking about how the Thai government interprets the meaning of "two calendar months". Two calendar months are exactly that - two months from a date.

For example, if I deposit money on April 5th, the money would be seasoned at June 5th

If I deposit money on November 20th, the money would be seasoned at January 20th.

Simply put your finger on a date and month, and then add two months to that date. It's as simple as that.

Michel Rossini Two calendar months is exactly that- two whole months. If I deposit money in my account today, July 25, 2021, two calendar months would be September 25, 2021.

For two calendar months that cross over February, SOME immigration offices try to force a person to use "Two calendar months + a few extra days".

Correct, non-o based on marriage.

My under consideration stamp was given today, (I'm starting the 60-day count today)

23rd may be a day or 2 overstay but I will go in on the extension expiration date and go from there.....

Just to clarify, no new visa needed?

The money does not need to be seasoned for 60 days, but two calendar months. No new visa would be needed.

IF you have not acquired a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family on this Non-O visa, it is an option for you as well.
