Do you apply online this year for the visa or how does it work ?

Previously I had to book an appointment online and submit the documents in person

All Thai embassies and consulates now use the evisa system. This means you apply in the country you are at.

For Vientiane they don’t accept online payments so you do go to the embassy to pay in person.
